Become a “Trainer for a Day!” Ever wondered what it’s like to work with sea lions? Atlantis Marine World’s Trainer for a Day program gives anyone 10 and older the chance to go behind the scenes with members of the aquarium’s Marine Mammal staff as they work with California Sea Lions. The program is held on Saturdays from April through September at 10am or 2pm, and sessions last for two hours. In addition to creating memories that they will cherish for years, Trainer for a Day offers participants the opportunity to: help prepare food, participate in a California Sea Lion training and feeding session, attend the aquarium’s renowned California Sea Lion Show, get a kiss from a seal and a keepsake photo. Each guest “trainer” also receives a free Atlantis Marine World T-shirt, a Certificate of Completion, and aquarium admission.
