Is your child the next Rosie O’Donnell, Robin Williams or Billy Crystal? If so, then send your family’s resident stand-up comic to Camp Kids ‘N Comedy, now in its fourth year at the Gotham Comedy Club. Kids ages 10-16 years will be able to attend camp Monday-Friday, noon-4pm, in stand-up comedy, comedy writing, improvisational acting and on-camera auditioning. A team of professional stand-up comics and improvisational performers who love kids teach the classes. The stand-up consists of performance skills, comedy writing and learning what makes things funny. Campers will view video of the big show performances from the Kids ‘N Comedy Show. At the end of camp, a casting agent from a major network will visit the on-camera audition classes and all campers will put on a show for family and friends. Three camp sessions are held July 7-18, July 21-August 1 and August 4-15, and kids have the option to take one, two or three sessions. For more information on this camp for comics, call (212)877-6115 or visit www.kidsncomedy.com. Don’t forget to check out Kids ‘N Comedy’s other offerings, including beginner classes, which started March 29 for eight weeks. Advanced Workshops are held April 6 and May 4, and shows occur April 27 and May 18.
