Teen Academy at LaGuardia Community College offers courses for middle, junior and high school students. These classes help teens strengthen reading, writing and math skills. Teens can also prepare for the SHSAT, TACHS, Regents, and PSAT/SAT exams. Popular college prep workshops help teens and their families with the college application process— from writing the essay to getting financial aid. But it’s not all work and no play: Teens can respond to their creative selves in art and design courses or in comic illustration, painting or drawing classes. They can learn to play guitar or electronic keyboards. They can explore cooking with Brigitte, study the martial arts, and much more.
