Winston Preparatory Summer Enrichment provides students with the unique opportunity to participate in an individually designed program aimed at enhancing academic skills. Each student receives daily, one-on-one instructional sessions to address challenging areas. Students are grouped according to skill level and learning style in class sizes no larger than 12 individuals. The summer staff consists of learning and reading specialists, speech and language pathologists, and content instructors. The program is designed to develop language, reading comprehension, encoding/decoding, writing, math, test preparation, organization and time management skills. At the conclusion of the day, students are given the opportunity to socialize with new and old friends in a less structured environment by enrolling in one or more after school activities, including judo, art, acting, yoga, fun and fitness, as well as a social communication/pragmatics group, for an additional fee.
