Wood Hollow Equestrian Center offers a small, intensive horse-oriented summer day camp. The guiding philosophy of their program is to provide the camper with a well-rounded experience that instills in the camper true horsemanship. The daily schedule includes mounted English horse-back riding lessons in a small group setting. Two daily stable periods permit the camper the opportunity to prepare their horse in the morning and reward their equine partner at the day’s end for all their efforts. Practical, hands-on sessions teach the camper about horse psychology, anatomy and basic first aid and care. The day is balanced with additional activities including arts & crafts, sports and water fun. Field trips off-property provide the campers with the opportunity to experience other aspects of the horse industry, or simply have a fun change of venue for a special day! Weekly visits from equine professionals expose the campers to the variety of opportunities within the horse industry. Camp runs from July 2 through August 24, 2007 (no camp on July 4th) from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm and is geared fro campers ages 8 through 15.
