“Sweat and Smile, and you will succeed.” Coming from program director Jeff Nerenberg, named Coach of the Year by the United States Professional Tennis Registry and regarded as the most accomplished instructor in the tri-state area, this simple catch phrase becomes a reality. Established in 1975, the Jeff Nerenberg Tennis Academy teaches children ages 7-18 the fundamentals of tennis under the guidance of caring and professional instructors, all personally trained by Coach Nerenberg. The uniquely designed co-ed program includes stroke development, drills and match play. “Munchkin Tennis” makes learning fun for the younger students while the “Grand Prix Travel Team Program” is geared for older and more advanced players. New for 2008-2009 are expanded “Family Clinics” for adults and their families that meet weekends from October through June (indoors) and June through September (outdoors). Regular academy classes run after school and on weekends, and can include transportation. The academy teaches all skill levels— from beginners to tournament players. Enrollment is limited. Contact Coach Nerenberg, a Prince Elite Team Member, for registration information. Aspiring tennis pros should take note that Prince recently named Jeff Nerenberg Tennis Academy as one of the top 25 tennis schools in the country.
